    The PTA is an essential part of the education of all the children at Robert Down. Although many PTA's function almost solely as a fundraising vehicle, the PTA at Robert Down finds its role as a member of the family that assists the staff in myriad ways to educate our kids. While it does raise money for countless needs in and out of the classroom, our PTA also sponsors a Family Hoe Down, Family Bingo Night, spaghetti feed, Family Reading Nights, campus pride days and other events. In addition, the PTA sponsors parent education evenings that often precede the regular meetings and coordinates room parents so classes can always have parents ready to help for special projects or to disseminate information quickly. The PTA should be your first stop as you look for ways to help the school.
